Virology Discovery Unit (VDU), CSIR-IMTECH is organising a National Workshop on “Recent Trends in Viral Bioinformatics” on 10th November 2018 (Saturday) under the aegis of Indian Virological Society (IVS) to be held at CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology. This would be a pre-workshop for INTERVIROCON 2018- International Conference of Virology, which will be held on November 12-14, 2018 at PGIMER, organised by the Department of Virology PGIMER, India.
There will be lectures, demonstrations and hands on training for participants on important aspects in viral- bioinformatics like structure bioinformatics, phylogenomics, in silico antiviral drug designing, vaccine design and visit to high performance computing facility etc. Speakers for the workshop are Dr. Anil Koul, Director CSIR-IMTECH, Dr. B.V. Prasad, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Urmila Kulkarni-Kale Information Scientist, University of Pune, and Dr. Manoj Kumar, Senior Scientist, VDU, CSIR-IMTECH. We expect M.Sc./ B.Tech./ Ph.D. students, researchers, faculty, and scientists to be participants for this workshop. Workshop material, lunch, tea-snacks- and certificate etc. will be arranged for the registered participants.
